Another Birthday!

Baby Joel isn't a baby any more! He's turning ONE already! It seems like only a few months have passed since he was born. This little angel is so cute. He was not excited about getting down and dirty with cake and frosting. But we did manage to get a few good shots with some messy hands. I hope these pictures will tide you over till I can get all of them online. Thanks for being patient with me.

Meet Miss Katie

Yes, it was a busy weekend... Here are a few pictures of Miss Katie that I was able to take on Saturday evening. I could tell in the beginning, Katie wasn't very comfortable with posing in front of the camera. But, by the time we were finished, she might have been ready to take on the catwalk. Happy Birthday Zack!

Look at this cutie patootie! Mommy brought little Zachary in for his SMASH CAKE SESSION this past weekend. I love these sessions because it helps remind me how fast time goes by. Children grow up so quickly, sometimes we need to slow down to take it all in. You will see several portraits of baby Zachary through out my website and BLOG. I get the cutest shots of this little stinker. :) Mom and Dad, here's your sneak peak of your baby boy all grown up!

Alvin High School Senior

I had the pleasure of photographing a Senior from Alvin High School this past weekend. Chris was a natural when it came to posing. He's very active and plays football and basketball for AHS. We found the neatest building to take some pictures in. Chris, here's your sneak peek. Mom is going to have a hard time making a decision. Enjoy!

Saturday morning we took off on an URBAN EXPEDITION! I had three little models in tow, Miss Savannah, Miss Deja, & little Miss Aleja. We hit some great spots. They all were terrific models. Check out some of these shots!

Wunsche Senior High Girls

These girls are taking advantage of my 2009 Senior Model Search. The are both Juniors for Wunsche Senior High School and were very fun to photograph. We went to the Mercer Arboretum & Botanic Gardens to take a few shots. Very nice scenery and lots of flowers in bloom. Here's a tiny peek of our session.

High School Guys

These are two MHS students that volunteered to model for me last weekend. They both will get to participate in my Senior Model search for 2010. Even though these guys are not Juniors this year, they are still on my list of potentials. I have yet to be contacted by a male high school Junior so positions are still available.
Taylor and Garrett were so easy to work with. I can see some modeling their future.

I just had to share little Sophia's first birthday pictures. I've photographed this little angel since she was born. I love watching these children grow up from behind my lens. Time passes so quickly. Before you know it, you blink and it's over. I'm so glad that I was able to capture some memorable moments for Mom and Dad this past year. Let me introduce you to my challange....

This family has been with me from the beginning. When I first decided I wanted to pursue a life in photography I knew that if I could make it through photographing the Olvera family, I could do anything. Now, don't misunderstand what I'm saying...I enjoy the challenge of trying to get all 3 boys to look at me and smile for the camera. First I'd have two looking at me and the other fiddling with his shoes. Then I'd get that ones attention and loose the other two. On the other hand Miss Lauryn (their sister) is a pro at taking portraits with her brothers. She knows to just sit down and smile... and keep smiling until the 100th picture is taken. Then I pray I got at least 1 shot with everyone looking at the camera - all eyes open.
I think over the past couple of years we've all gotten better at this picture taking thing. This year, they had a new little family member in the mix. Little Miss Maxie is the cute little German Shepard you see behaving so well. Check out these wonderful shots I was able to get of them last weekend.

I just had to share these last few pictures of Mom with her littlest. Christopher will be having heart surgery next week, and I wanted to make sure I got a few shots of them enjoying some quiet time together.
