Mr. M. and Little Ms. P

I had a portrait setting with the cutest kids yesterday. Mr. M and his little sister were perfect little models. I enjoyed spending the evening getting to know these cutie pies while I snapped their pictures. Here's a sneak peek for mom of some of my favorites. I will have the rest up soon.

Our Vacation

I'm so bad about getting my family pictures organized. I always figure I can do it a little later. Well having some time off during the hurricane let me catch up on a few personal things. I've received many e-mails asking how our family vacation was this summer and now I'm finally ready to post some images from our trip to Pensacola Beach.




My children had so much fun on the beach.

They were amazed at all the interesting things we found.

So What did I do during the hurricane?

While we waited for hurricane IKE to pass through Houston there was really nothing I wanted to do besides watch the 24 hour coverage that was showing on TV. I am just one of those people that can't just sit and watch TV so I finally learned how to knit. You can learn how to do anything on YOU TUBE. Nothing fancy. I just wanted a some color in some of my newborn sessions. My next project will be learning how to loom knit. Wish me luck!

I've been MIA

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let everyone know that my family is finally home from our evacuation from hurricane Ike. We boarded up our home and headed to South TX. to get out of the path of the storm. We were very lucky to be able to stay in comfort at my in-laws. Our house finally got power yesterday and we packed up and came home. We had some minor damage to our home but nothing compared to the devastation that so many families have encountered. We consider ourselves blessed. My heart goes out to those who have lost everything.
Most of today was spent getting food and supplies for our home and ripping out soggy carpet. I have promised myself that Saturday will be my day to catch up on all of my photography business. Sessions that were scheduled last weekend will be re-scheduled very soon and photos that were ordered should be coming in again shortly. I found out today that my lab held my prints till after the weather calmed. Our phone and Internet service is up and down at this point and I just wanted to let clients know that I will be trying to contact them on Saturday or Sunday. Those of you who have sessions booked this month on the beach.... guess what? Yep, they have been canceled. We will work something out.

Our new Credit Union Member is finally here!

Baby "J" was delivered earlier today and I was blessed to be able to snap a few pictures for mom and dad when she was just a few hours old. Mom works with me at my regular full time job at a local credit union and we all have been patiently awaiting baby "J's" arrival. I had to post a few pictures up tonight or I won't here the end of it tomorrow! She was so sweet! I love babies. Thanks mom and dad for letting me invade your room. I will see you soon for her newborn session.
